Timeshare Scams and Fraud

Let me tell you my experience, I was in Mexico enjoying my vacation time, when I was invited to attend a timeshare presentation, as I did not want to be rude I decided to go. Well, that was the worst mistake I may have made.
They kept me there for 8 hours, I was feeling like a I was wasting my vacation time, so I asked the sales man if I sign and then I regret, and I have de desire of cancel the contract if there is any problem? Of course he told me that there was no problem and he continued talking about how wonderful is his membership. Of course all was a lie. He never told me that there was a rescission period and I felt very confident and I signed the contract.

While on vacation in Mexico. I was invited a timeshare presentation at Villa del Palmar. I signed the contract in April of 2016. I was initially not interested. However, their salesmantold me that if I doesn't use my week, then the company would rent out my timeshare week. That same night after thinking about it I decided not to keep the timeshare and the next morning I attempted to cancel the contractbut they told me that it was not possible to cancel it.

In 2014,My wife and I went to Mexico,We were talked into going to a presentation with Royal Holiday, After a pressure sales presentation for 6 hours we purchased a membership. They promised a lot of things but they were empty promises and there were many lies.

We realized we had made a mistake and we tried canceling the contract within the 5 day grace period but they made it impossible to cancel. We began researching our options to
cancel the contract .While we were searching on internet a solution, we found several bad reviews about Royal Holidays and we found that we bought into a Timeshare which was basically

We originally had a weeks time share every other year. When we sat through the owner's time share meeting, Alex explained the point system - we get 400 points or equal to four weeks or a lot of different combinations, larger rooms for 200 points. Even showed us the MonteCristo and indicated we could book that also with our points at no maintenance cost except every five years. Roll over your points to RCI, bank your points. Also there is a preferred account worth $3500.00 you get every year - he indicated this could be used to pay your maintenance fees. Only have to pay once every five years. During our trip to the Mayan Riviera. My husband and I were asked to attend a breakfast the next morning. We were pressured and tricked into signing a contract for 30 years membership with Mayan Palace. When we came back to USA we wanted to find a way to get out of the contract, but it was almost impossible. We were paying for a 5 years and we never used it. We have spent $10k dollars on various scams over the years with promising to sell it for us.
Tired of wasting our money I called a Mayan Palace and they offer to help resell our contract. They referred us to a Broker company and we paid $700 and after two years this company disappeared.
