Timeshare Scams and Fraud

Complaints  >   Pueblo Bonito Company

THEY SOLD US ON TRADING IN OUR PRE-EXISTING TIMESHARE IN ORDER TO BUY THEIRS. THEN THEY LEAVE ALL THOSE DETAILS OUT OF CONTRACT AND DO NOT ACTUALLY FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THE TRADE. ONCE YOU CALL THEM OUT, THEY SAY YOU CAN CANCEL AND FORFEIT YOUR DOWN-PAYMENT. COMPLETE AND UTTER SCAM.

We went to a timeshare presentation at Pueblo bonito. Upon my return home I was reviewing documents and noticed my 15 year deal was for 30 years. We were told that we could have them rent our week if needed or they could also re-sell the unit if needed. but all was a lie. We have tried contacting them at many different numbers but they never answer or returned our calls . we tried to cancel our timeshare but we got threatened by them and they told us that our credit score would be affected and that we would have pay an extra 25% of our membership. One day, we found Mexican Timeshare Solutions online while trying to find someone who would buy our timeshare and 5 months later, they were able to get the cancellation of our contract.

Beware and stay away from Pueblo Bonito they are scammers!

We have been a victim of scam at Pueblo Bonito Resort & Spa.. in April 15,2016.. we attended to cancel the contest the next day and we were told that there was not grace period to cancel. The salesman by name Omar Alvarez promised and ensured us that he will sale our existent timeshare.. A Big lie.. we put down couple of thousands. But we had no results. Each time I had to pay my credit card bill for Pueblo Bonito it reminded me of the fraud they had committed against me and I knew I had to do something about it and I did, I hired a company named Mexican timeshare Solutions. The fact that MTS did not take any money up front was reassuring for me. Thanks to them we were released of our membership completely. The reason of my post it´s to warn you and to avoid you to fall in... Read More

My sister and I both owned at Pueblo Bonito, Sunset. We were there in 2011 and got sucked into a presentation at Mayan Palace. Being stupid and believing this would get us out of our existing timeshares, we signed on. We had to pay $13,000+ to them as well as $7,000 to transfer ownership through TimeshareResaleMarket. We made that decision based on repeated lies. we checked with them two years ago and of course they don't want to buy it back and we had not found a reputable sales agent to get rid of it that way. Even we offered to sell it for half of what we paid for it.
We found "Mexican Timeshares Solutions"; we called them and was promised no payment until the contract is canceled. We provided them with everything they needed and cooperated with them to help them ... Read More

We originally had a weeks time share every other year. When we sat through the owner's time share meeting, Alex explained the point system - we get 400 points or equal to four weeks or a lot of different combinations, larger rooms for 200 points. Even showed us the MonteCristo and indicated we could book that also with our points at no maintenance cost except every five years. Roll over your points to RCI, bank your points. Also there is a preferred account worth $3500.00 you get every year - he indicated this could be used to pay your maintenance fees. Only have to pay once every five years. WOW what a great deal - NOT. After we upgraded found out that we cannot use our points for the MonteCristo, cannot use the $3500.00 to pay for maintenance fees. Each time you use 100... Read More
