Timeshare Scams and Fraud

Beware!!! Bluegreen Sampler sounds good but is too difficult to schedule a real vacation trip except for very restrictive dates that prohibit one from using their premier properties. The ones that are less desirable are the only ones available for you to use your points on unless you want to go to a vacation locale during the off season (not a shoulder season). They are very nice on the phone when they tell you each time you call that they can't help you with the vacation that you just worked out plans for.

Called saying had buyer for timeshare and didn't have mine up for sale but gave a proposal of $12,000 with no upfront fees.They send purchase agreement and go over it and say 8% commission after payout and money in escrow acct. with Harris Title. You have to sign agreement which would get you for commission if you terminate contract and they mention a transfer fee that is reimbursed in closing. Harris Title then sends you a document pkg. which you find out before sale can go on you have to wire $1200 to Mexico before closing. Then you are supposed to get your money.

Received Ph. call Jan. 9th 2013 that there was a buyer for my Las vegas property. The listing Co. was not reachable therefore, they contacted me. The negotiation and deal proceeded for many hours and days. I thought I did my homework before releasingy further info and money. I lost a cashiers check of $3,089.00. After their receiving by Fed. Ex. I never heard or got anything in return. Some things I questioned about it professionalism and aesthics. There always was no worry all is in order. Once everything was done on my part now not reachable, no return calls and not alway able to leave a .message

This company contacted us to sell our Timeshare. We hesitated but they faxed us detailed documents and put us in touch with another company called DJR Holdings. At first we told them that we did not want to put up any funds. They said no problem and that they already would have a buyer. Mary Ann/Gloria contacted us from DJR Holdings assuring us they were legit and sent us documentation. We checked their websites and all seemed fine and professional. They told us we had a deal in place and that closing would be February 2013. We received a call saying that because our Timeshare was in Mexico they needed to send a representative to close the deal. On 1/31/2013, Erick Davis contacted me regarding the purchase of my timeshare. He forwarded a letter with very similiar wording as another offer I received on 7/19/2012 from Erik Wilson of Windstar Property Management located in Deerfield, IL. The signatures were identical. I also recognized his voice when he called me regarding the 2nd offer in January. I did not pursue the first offer and I would like to file this complaint because it is obviously the same person with a different last name who is trying to scam me.
