Timeshare Scams and Fraud

Company lied about prices for resort during presentation and would not refund money. Horrible customer service. THIS IS A SCAM, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANYONE SIGH UP FOR THIS

On December 5, 2012, this company promised to help me sell my time share for an upfront fee of $799.00. They did not sell it. I have on my contract that they would refund my money if my time share was not sold in six months. As stipulated in the contract, I faxed a signed copy of the contract to the company six months later to get my refund. I faxed it twice. Once on June 5th, six months after they took my money, and again on June 7th, six months after the date of the contract. I have called Marie Carter, the sales rep, at 203-930-0593 seven times and have left messages. I have also called the toll-free number seven times, and have emailed time and time again. Once I got a call back from a George Fetter-386-383-5388. He asked if I had called a cab in Daytona Beach. I said ... Read More

This letter’s purpose is to explain the actions and sequence of actions which led to an alleged scam performed by “Nashville Resort Sales, of Nashville, TN. which caused the writer a loss in an excess of $360.00
The scam all started from an email that was sent to me from a man named “John Hartman” from “Nashville Resorts Sales” telling me that they had a buyer interested in our Bluegreen Timeshare Points. The email included a phone number (which I found to be legit and after research could find no complaints towards the company online or even through Better Business Bureau. (see email # 1) Everything seemed legit, they had a company name, address, phone number (Nashville Resort Sales, 2817 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN, 37203 (615) 378-7552) and even their own webs... Agent called. Submitted offer. I accepted it. I told them no money up front.
*******Newer scam. Now collect in the back with all kinds of bizarre reasons to ask for funds now in order to close. And you as the seller are losing rational thoughts in order to get it closed. This group is very smooth. They want 672.00 for your share of closing costs. Then they wanted 850.00 to pay for Mexican. notary and taxes and attorney. I don't need no stinking attorney,!!!!!!!!Then they wanted 925.00 to pay recording fee. Now it is getting very smelly....
I called the resort. 1.. Seller does not pay closing costs. 2. There is no need for notary services. There are no mexican taxes as your property is classified as RTU... Right to use. You don' t own anything. 3. Recording fees. T... Read More

PAM contacted my parents and let them know they have a buyer for their Mexican timeshare. That alleged that buyer is willing to pay 130% for the timeshare and that PAM would collect 9% of the sale price once the transaction has been completed. All of the documents they sent us to sign looked very legitimate including a document from a Mexican bank, Bancomer that indicated that the buyer has funded an escrow account to fund the sale and to assure the safety of everyone’s money. These documents included phone numbers, addresses, account numbers and guarantees from PAM. They answered all my questions and I was reassured and ultimately convinced that this was a legitimate offer.
However, according to PAM, Mexican law requires a percentage of the sale price as an International R... Read More
