We had just purchased a timeshare from Holiday Inn Orange Lake Resorts May 2012. A couple months later, you know, the time when you're second guessing your timeshare purchase, we received a phone call from someone (don't remember their name) from Access Travel Network wanting to rent out our "extra RCI weeks" from our timeshare. They claimed that they had huge companies that rent rooms by volume so that they can send employees down for big conferences or special events. They said that these companies are willing to pay an extremely high amount to ensure that they get enough rooms for their entire group of employees. I told him that I would think about it and discuss it with my husband when he got home from work. Of course, he pressured me because Super Bowl weekend was coming up soon, but I held my ground. After discussion with my husband and another phone call from ATN, we explained that we were foster parents and had four children of our own and couldn't really affort to pay this money out, but he assured me he already had renters for our condo and it would only be an estimated two weeks or so processing time to get the checks to me. He sent the contract via email, which we esigned, I think, and when we try to revisit the contract on our email, it says that this contract has already been deleted. I did save the last phone message from Charles Woodson on our home answering machine with his contact phone number so I will list it above. On the message, he says that my check has arrived and to call him back so we can clear out the "taxes" and he can mail us our check. I called him and told him that we couldn't pay ahead on taxes and that we'd take care of it on our end and he insisted that we have to pay him so that he can pay the company in Florida the excerb omount of taxes which some of them I've never heard of. We declined, asked for a refund, and never heard from Access Travel Network again. I've tried multiple times to contact him but to no avail, he's always out or busy or something and never calls back.
