Timeshare Scams and Fraud

Complaints  >   Corporate Event Services Company

This company called and told us they had a purchaser for our timeshare. We asked them to send us some paperwork to review, in which they did. However something about it doesn't seem quite right. They say they will send us a check for $26,500 and after we receive the money we have to pay them a 9% commission. What really got my attention was that in the contract it states that this agreement is confidential between Corporate Event Services and the Owners and payment will be released no later than 45 days of the purchaser signing the contract. I wish that I could post the complete contract for everyone to see in order to help someone that maybe receiving these same calls.

I've been scammed before and this company is following the same exact path. They say they have a buyer for an unusually high amount for your property. Then they start requesting that you pay fees and taxes, and soon they will disappear. You can't fiend them when you google them. The only way to find them is to click on the link they send you. It's a very simple website and it's not even encrypted. They also don't belong to the BBB.
