Timeshare Scams and Fraud

Represented that resale would be routine. Provided Comps for resales, which after I paid the fee, could not be verified.
Called several occasions to advise me that "high" sales season was approaching and that I may miss my resale opportunity.

I plan on notifying FTC and initiating a claim at the local magistrate.

My advice: Stay away from this company!

Promised to sell my time share in Cancun, claimed it had the buyer, said it needed 3850.00 to get the process started, then it escalated and wanted more money, then said the sale was going to take a little longer because Trump's policies and NAFTA changes and so much more, Claimed I needed to pay 25% iof the total amount in taxes to the Mexican government, and she assured me that it would be reimbursed to me after the sale was done.. I would have to come up with more money (15000) and of course it all would be reimbursed to me. Once I said it would be no more money, she stopped answering my phone calls and I am still waiting for my money. Feel awful. They need to stop. Help please

Horrible experience at Villa del Palmar

If you are thinking of acquiring a time share with Villa del Palmar, you will lose your time as well as lose a lot of money, preferably from your own experience, do not buy any timeshare, are totally fraudulent, do not even think about going to some timeshare presentation , The best thing is to avoid this type of places, they are unscrupulous people of the worst.

A Wyoming co from a virtual office has a buyer that the seller will pay the CO company 5% to receive an price for a time share.

Less a complaint and more about education. When any sales person informs you of the market price of ownership, 'per point,' recognize that the very same points are readily available in the open market for a fraction of the cost.

Marriott Vacation Club makes a point up front that they reserve the right of first refusal to buy back their points because the market value continues to increase. If you're buying direct from them the statement would be true.

My purchase of 2,500 points was bought for roughly $10 per point. If buying direct from them today they will sell them for $13+.

However, on the resale market you'll have a tough time getting $4 per point so while this is a great way to own a timeshare with properties around the world, don't buy direct.
