I will never go to Bear River Lodge again! Last weekend I took my wife and two young kids, and it was a disaster. The rooms were filthy (dust all over the place). Most slat-type windows were broken, and scotch tape was used in an attempt to repair. This prevented the windows from opening (with the accompanying beautiful view). There was a tiny little electric heater (2 feet square) that heated the entire cabin. It took about three hours to get to mid 60F's. Overnight to reach 70F. There were many spiders (mostly earwig's) But the worst part was the bed bugs which ate us alive.
A little customer service would have been nice, however there was an absolute disgusting individual named Cassidy who was the property supervisor. She had a major “God complex”. She didn't know the first thing about how to treat a customer. When we calmly told her about our problems, she immediately became ugly, nasty, and mean. Basically said, "if you don't like it go home, but you still owe the money"
Rented snowmobiles for one day and had nothing but problems there as well. Little kids on the back so we weren't crazy. Sleds kept breaking, wow what a bunch of crappy snowmobiles they keep in their fleet.
Let's just say we are never going back! To the owner of the cabins, my recommendation would be to immediately fire Cassidy. Then work on the remaining staff’s customer service.
To the potential future customers – JUST DON’T GO!
