Timeshare Scams and Fraud

We were told by the salesperson at the time of our purchase they had a buy back program. The sales Representative Maggie gave us her cellphone number to call if we had any questions, that was dishonest. She never returned a call. I call the office to see how to go about selling back and was told by Kaye Du Van there is not a buy back program and never have been a buy back program. I was told they would consider buying the timeshare for $1000.00 if we pay the entire balance off and only may consider can't promise anything.

Having been pressurised into buying a timeshare in Mexico with Vidanta grand mayan resort, when I got back to Europe I really had no idea how I was going to get out of this mess. I
had already paid a reservation fee and on reflection I absolutely did not
want to purchase the timeshare. When I found Mexican Timeshare Solutions I
was doubtful that they could help me, because I was told I had signed a
legally binding contract and there was no way out. However using Mexican Timeshare Solutions company was incredibly easy and straightforward. Hello here is my experience,My mother and I were panicked when we found out our timeshare was not what we thought it was after all papers were signed. I found Mexican Timeshare Solutions online and had high hopes that we could cancel our contract. I was pleased to hear Mexican Timeshare did not want money to start off with, because we had already lost so much money. Carlos and Jennifer were always available to answer questions and listen. I trusted Carlos, and he restored my faith in Mexican culture and visiting there one day again. Thank You Mexican Timeshare Solutions!

Diamond Resorts preys on the public by selling a product it doesn't deliver and upcharging for utilizing the product of "stress free" vacationing. Unless a reservation is made a year in advance it is very difficult to utilize. Fees are assessed for a myriad of upsells including reservation insurance, rental fees for held back "inventory" and yearly $2000 in "maintenance fees." Also, unused points are lost forever.
Diamond offers an alternative program to convert points to reimbursement dollars for taking a vacation that doesn't include staying at its resorts...only catch is you go one year, can only be reimbursed Jan-March the next year utilizing that current year's points.
As a senior citizen it is very frustrating to be on a fixed income an... Read More

Here is my experience, Prior to seeking cancellation of my Villa Group timeshare I tried to sell it, rent it, and even give it away for free. I fell victim to a resale scam ($1500) for a guarantee to sell the share at a profit within 6 months. The offer was fake but I did get a full refund with the help of my credit card company. Offering the share for free provided no takers either.

Looking to rid myself of it I found Mexican Timeshare Solution to be the only company that didn't charge an upfront fee. There may be others now. I was unable to find any conclusive info about them online. But there were no negative reports so I decided to give them a try.

I signed the contract in sept of 2013. They attempted to recover part of my purchase cost for a 15% fee of the recovered amount... Read More
