The list of winners just got announced, and included Bruce L. Thompson, the CEO of Gold Key/
PHR Hotels & Resorts, who was chosen as Best Industry Leader, and
John Spence, chairman of the Karma Royal Group, who got selected as Entrepreneur of the Year.

Earlier this month, timeshare industry professionals from across the globe gathered at the
Hacienda Tres Rios Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico, for the conclusion of the GNEX 2012
conference, also known as The Global Meeting Of Minds, a global networking expo for
timeshare professionals.

On Thursday, Feb. 2, the sponsors of the event, Perspective Magazine and Holiday Systems
International, held an awards dinner that included no fewer than 42 crystal trophies waiting to be
awarded. The awards were presented during a six course gala dinner.

The winners were decided through a combination of online voting and decisions made from
a panel of four industry experts. There were five components that got voted on, each one
accounting for 20 percent of the overall tally.

The online voting took place during the month of January, and more than 9,000 votes got cast
online from industry professionals across the world. Nearly 150 nominees competed for the
coveted awards, as well as the global recognition provided through the industry's well-read
trade publication. The judges at the event included Tom Goetschius, president & CEO of Tom
Goetschius Associates; Jamie Klein, president of the Lore Institute; Craig Morganson, CEO of
Holiday Systems International; and Sherman Potvin, CEO of Fractional Homes International.

Each winner was given a specially designed award certificate and customized Perspective
Magazine Awards logo for use in their marketing materials, websites and brochures.
