On July 7th, 2016 I was contacted by a Rubin Gordon from Coastline Timeshares Resales indicating they had a buyer for my timeshare that I own at Eagle Rock Resort near Hazleton, PA. They sent me a buyer's contract signed by a Gary and Barbara Brock indicating a purchase price of $17,000 along with a contract indicating that in order to proceed I would need to wire $2,200 to cover deed transfer ($700), Title search ($600) and Lawyer fee of ($900), a Charles Hansen from their "legal department" then contacted me to confirm that once they received the wire they would overnight the documents to process the transaction. I then did some internet searches for "timeshare scams" and looked on scammer website such as this one to check them out and did not see any bad press on this company. The only thing I found was a poor rating on the BBB site with 6 complaints only indicating some people not getting good responses from them but no money stealing scams. I even received an email from the buyer (Barbara Brock) letting me know they were concerned since they put down $4,100 and an added $1,500 to expedite the transaction and that they were buying this as a wedding gift for their daughter who was getting married on July 17th,2016 and that their contract indicated if it was not closed by July 16th, 2016 they could cancel and their fees returned. My agreement indicated I too would receive my fund back if the transaction was not closed by then also. After wiring them the funds, they then tried to get me for a "luxury tax" of another $1,500 for which I refused indicating that I researched and their was no such thing. On July 13,2016 I received a reply from Linda Harris in customer service indicating I was correct and their was no such tax in PA and that I would be getting a call from Charles Hansen from the legal team to provide me with the FedEx tracking number of the package. That was the last time I heard back from them. They stole my $2,200. I have since opened a police report with the Las Vegas police department and have contacted the Nevada District Attorney's office but have not heard back as of yet.
