ORLANDO -- The Marriott Vacation Club has launched a new option for owners of its European timeshare resorts, with the creation of the points-based Marriott Vacation Club Destinations Exchange Program.

PORT ST. LUCIE – As part of the ongoing effort to crack down on timeshare resale fraud, a Port St. Lucie business owner has been sentenced to spend more than a decade in prison for his role in a fraudulent timeshare business in Palm Beach County.

ORLANDO – Calling it an effort to boost confidence in Central Florida’s critical timeshare industry, Gov. Rick Scott signed into law legislation designed to crack down on timeshare resale fraud.

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. – The vacation exchange company SFX Preferred Resorts has signed up to be an exhibitor at the Third Annual Global Networking Expo GNEX 2012.

Also known as The Global Meeting of Minds, the event is scheduled for next February in Beverly Hills, Calif. SFX Preferred Resorts assists vacationers as they plan and arrange for times when they want to
travel.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A lot of timeshare firms have a simple mission – to sell or resell vacation ownership units, or to work with resorts to get new timeshares built in popular vacation spots. VO Financial Corporation claims to be different. The company based in Nashville, Tenn., says it’s a “Timeshare Consulting Firm” -- and their ultimate mission is to expose fraud within this industry.
