Myrtle Beach offers tips from the timeshare industry

Although the summer vacation season officially starts on Friday, May 25 with the first day of Memorial Day weekend, May is actually one of the top months for travel to Myrtle Beach, which is why the local timeshare industry is noting that travelers looking for affordable lodging can find some great places to stay at a local timeshare resort.

The beautiful, coastal city of Myrtle Beach is on the center of a large and continuous stretch of beach known as the Grand Strand in northeastern South Carolina. This region hosts more than 14.6 million visitors annually, and The Grand Strand offers them an array of popular tourist attractions.

Timeshares By Owner, which was founded 14 years ago, is an Orlando, Fla.-based company that helps timeshare owners sell or rent their vacation ownership unit. The company is also letting those travelers know that there are plenty of timeshares available to rent in Myrtle Beach – and that the destination itself has a lot to offer them.

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk opened in 2012 and has been recognized as the nation’s number three top ranked boardwalk by National Geographic magazine. Travel + Leisure magazine also ranked this as one of the nation’s top boardwalks.

In May of 2011, the city opened The Myrtle Beach Skywheel, a 200-foot observation wheel, similar to a Ferris wheel, with glass gondolas that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.

“The city has many more attractions that bring travelers from all over to vacation,” Timeshare by Owner noted.

For example, the area has something for everyone: golf courses and amusement parks, an aquarium, Legends In Concert, and an IMAX theater.

For those who want to take advantage of these amenities, Timeshare By Owner has “a vast number of rentals available in the 460 hotels that Myrtle Beach has to offer, many on the beachfront.”

May is an ideal time to visit, the company noted, since as many as 200,000 visitors will arrive in the city for Myrtle Beach Bike Week, also called “Harley Bike Week.” This week-long motorcycle rally started in 1940 and is accompanied by Black Bike Week, founded in 1980, that takes place around Memorial Day Weekend. Black Bike Week is the largest African American motorcycle rally in the United States, attracting as many as 400,000 visitors each year.

“With a vacation destination that boasts such amazing opportunities for fun and relaxation, Myrtle Beach is a great getaway for May,” the company noted.
