Timeshare Scams and Fraud

We had just purchased a timeshare from Holiday Inn Orange Lake Resorts May 2012. A couple months later, you know, the time when you're second guessing your timeshare purchase, we received a phone call from someone (don't remember their name) from Access Travel Network wanting to rent out our "extra RCI weeks" from our timeshare. They claimed that they had huge companies that rent rooms by volume so that they can send employees down for big conferences or special events. They said that these companies are willing to pay an extremely high amount to ensure that they get enough rooms for their entire group of employees. I told him that I would think about it and discuss it with my husband when he got home from work. Of course, he pressured me because Super Bowl weekend w... Read More

Company lied about prices for resort during presentation and would not refund money. Horrible customer service. THIS IS A SCAM, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANYONE SIGH UP FOR THIS

Do not fall for the ‘Vacation Club’ sales pitch. We fell for it and are currently working with our credit card to get our $9000 back. There are only a couple of the nice suites they say you get with the membership. The sales pitch includes a proposal that their marketing partner will buy back vacation weeks you don’t want. That hasn’t happened and after many phone calls with assurance that the properties will sell within ‘the next 90 days’- then nothing but continued excuses.
I have emailed the Director of Public Relations at the Reef Playacar and email has been ignored. There is no resolution from them. And when I go to book our 10 weeks, there is no response from Royal Diamond Resorts or the Reef Playacar! Take our advice and ‘steer clear’ !

Nov. 5 2010, Was talked into buying an additional timeshare with the guaranetee that Excess Property Solutions would buy my extra points and that I could travel through VSI using less points than RCI. Thus I would be paid back for the timeshare I was going to buy. Excess Property Solutions nor BJ will return my calls now that it is time for the payout. The main office in Las Vegas says this is not a scam & I will get my money and they will have them return my call, but this has been going on for over a month and still no calls. Now I'm struck paying $5000 for a new timeshare plus the extra maintenance fees every year and get nothing.

I was contacted in the mid to late January 2013 by Nick Diaz of Continental Property Solutions out of Memphis, TN saying they had an executive of a corporation wanted to rent 10 weeks of my timeshare for a corporation meeting and they where offering $1800.00 for each week totally $18000.00 and wanted to know if I would be interested. I told Nick I would have to think about it. A few days later I received a call from Bill Hastings, manager saying the executive needed to know as the meeting was in April and they needed to get the transaction completed ASAP. I told Mr. Hastings I would let him know. I when online and looked up their company and the title company, Concord International Title in St. Paul Minnesota, they where using and did not find anything good nor bad about eith... Read More
