These guys are good and convincing and have legit websites....but seemed like it had to be a scam, and then I saw all of these other similar complaints. Here is my story: Paulo de la Vega from Event Specialty Group called me to tell me that his "client", Francisco J. Sanchez, was interested in making use of 10 different rooms for a week. (10 vacation weeks) $4500 per week for a total $45,000.00 USD....for a big golfing event that he is sponsoring in November and December. In addition, to the $45,000, the client would also pay the all-inclusive fees directly. To make it seem even more legit, they pulled in a title company, Innovative Title Services Inc. (received a legal agreement from Elsie Howard), to act as an intermediary and hold all funds in escrow. Supposedly, all I needed to do was to pay Innovative Title Services Inc., $7,600 ($760/week) to secure 10 Guest Certificates from Palace Resorts (they claimed this was a fee that Palace Resort charges for Guest Certificates), but that the client would also reimburse me for this $7,600 (in addition to the $45,000). So I called Palace Resorts and they indicated that there is no such thing as a "Guest Certificate" and all that one would need to do to reserve a week on behalf of someone else is to call and make the reservation (at no charge) and then give Palace the contact info of the person you were making the reservation for and they would then get the all-inclusive payment from that person directly. Palace Resorts confirmed that they do not have anything like a "Guest Certificate" and that is someone was saying they did it was probably a scam and that they are currently in a legal battle with a number of companies behind this scams.
